I have been working on a the planning committee for a conference called Free Minds, Free People. It's an amazing conference because there are so many people and resources who care about social justice education for the empowerment of youth in the country. Going to the conference in 2007 was helpful for me because I was able to meet everyday educators, students, and organizers who have made this work sustainable and joyful. Being in touch with them has really helped form me as a teacher and as an individual. It would be wonderful if people could join us at this conference!
