Lol! I was dying when I saw this picture on Angry Asian Man, of a Berenstain Bears book from back in the day called, "New Neighbors." Yellow Peril, indeed!! The other, exoticism, and tolerance all in one "First Time Books!"
I'm remember reading Berenstain Bears books but definitely don't remember this one. I wonder how I would have reacted as a child. Would I have identified with the Pandas? Would I have even noticed?
Who knows? I definitely notice now, though!
